Job Overview
We are hiring a Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, and repair of self-driving delivery robots. This role involves a variety of tasks including mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and fieldwork. Ideal candidates will have experience in automotive or manufacturing environments, a proactive mindset, and the ability to handle diverse responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble harnesses, cables, and connectors for self-driving delivery robots
- Install and replace sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the robot fleet
- Diagnose breakdowns, investigate incidents, and complete service campaigns
- Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including suspensions and batteries
- Travel to local sites to provide onsite field support as needed
- Support rapid prototyping, testing, and inventory management
- Assist with R&D experiments and development of new projects
Requirements
- Experience using mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment
- Skilled in assembling and disassembling products
- Ability to install custom electronic modules
- Knowledge of working with AC/DC currents
- Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings
- Soldering skills is preferred
- Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR for the past 12 months
- Comfortable working in field environments
- CDL not required
