Robot Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Robot Technician to support deployment, maintenance, and repair of robotic systems across warehouse environments. This role works closely with engineering and customer teams to keep robotic fleets operational through troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and field support.
This position requires hands-on technical experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to travel frequently to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Deploy and support robotic systems at customer warehouse sites
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose system issues
• Troubleshoot, repair, and debug robotic systems in the field
• Provide technical training to customer teams onsite
• Maintain records of service calls, repairs, and training activities
• Support incident triage and root cause analysis for system failures
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Monitor and report on performance metrics such as repair time and resolution rates
Requirements
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing robotics, automation systems, or similar equipment
• Ability to use electrical and mechanical tools (multimeters, soldering tools, crimpers, hand tools)
• Experience working with software tools (Linux systems, firmware updates, command line tools)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage field-based responsibilities
• Comfortable traveling up to 20% of the time to customer sites
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse environments
Preferred Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or mechatronics
• Experience with system diagnostics, debugging, and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with network configuration or system administration
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience with SQL or data systems
