Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Vehicle Technician to support the readiness and performance of an autonomous vehicle fleet. This role focuses on maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and supporting daily workshop operations to ensure vehicles are safe and ready for testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform diagnostics and escalate complex issues to engineering teams
• Coordinate repairs from initial diagnosis through resolution
• Develop and support diagnostic test plans for troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate service records and field quality reports
• Ensure shop tools, equipment, and workspaces are organized and operational
• Support parts inventory tracking, organization, and control
• Partner with internal teams to ensure vehicles are ready for testing and deployment
• Travel locally as needed to support maintenance and operations
Requirements
• 2–4 years of automotive technician or similar mechanical experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, tools, and repair methods
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, self-directed, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in an automotive lab, testing, or engineering environment
• Knowledge of CAN systems, wiring diagrams, or soldering
• Experience towing trailers or transporting vehicles
• Technical trade school certification or Associate degree in automotive repair
