Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Vehicle Technician to support maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet readiness operations for fully autonomous robotaxi vehicles in East Liberty, OH. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repair coordination, vehicle reworks, and supporting daily workshop operations to ensure vehicles are operational and ready for testing and deployment.
This position is ideal for experienced automotive technicians with strong electrical and ADAS diagnostic experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments and supporting advanced vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform high-quality repairs and inspections according to work instructions and document findings in service platforms
• Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
• Perform quality control inspections and testing on completed work
• Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks
• Coordinate repairs from diagnosis through resolution
• Perform diagnostics and follow proper escalation procedures when needed
• Maintain detailed service records and quality field reports
• Assist with parts inventory, storage, organization, and tooling readiness
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and workspaces in safe working condition
• Operate shop equipment safely while following PPE and OSHA guidelines
• Support fleet readiness for demonstrations, testing, and operational deployments
• Travel locally as needed to support maintenance and operational activities
Requirements
• 5+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, repair methods, tools, and materials
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and ADAS systems
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated work style
• Ability to work safely around vehicles, equipment, and production environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive testing, engineering labs, or research environments
• Knowledge of CAN systems, wiring diagrams, or soldering
• Experience towing trailers or transporting fleet vehicles
• Technical trade school certification or Associate degree in automotive repair
• Experience supporting EV, robotics, or autonomous vehicle systems
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally
Schedule
Shift Available:
• Tuesday – Saturday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
