Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Vehicle Technician to support maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet readiness operations for an autonomous vehicle fleet in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and supporting daily workshop operations to ensure vehicles are operational and ready for testing and deployment.
This position is ideal for experienced automotive technicians who are comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments and supporting advanced vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks
• Coordinate repairs from diagnosis through resolution
• Escalate complex issues to engineering teams when needed
• Support troubleshooting and validation through diagnostic testing
• Maintain detailed service records and quality reports
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to fleet maintenance and operational readiness
• Keep shop tools, workspaces, and facilities organized and operational
• Assist with parts inventory, storage, and organization
• Support fleet readiness for testing and demonstration activities
• Travel locally as needed to support operations
Requirements
• 2–4 years of automotive technician or similar mechanical experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, repair methods, and shop tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods standing or moving around the shop
• Forklift or gantry operation experience required
• Current forklift certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standards preferred
• Safety boots compliant with ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive testing, engineering labs, or research environments
• Knowledge of CAN systems, wiring diagrams, or soldering
• Experience towing trailers or transporting fleet vehicles
• Technical trade school certification or Associate degree in automotive repair
• Experience supporting EV, robotics, or autonomous vehicle systems

Available shifts include:
• Sunday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Sunday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Tuesday – Saturday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday – Saturday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
