Job Overview
We are hiring an Operations Leader to oversee autonomous vehicle operations and fleet maintenance for a ride-hailing program in Dallas. This role is responsible for managing driver teams, fleet performance, and daily operations while ensuring safety, uptime, and operational efficiency.

This position combines site leadership, workforce management, and fleet operations oversight. The role includes ownership of scheduling, KPI tracking, maintenance coordination, and financial performance of the fleet.

 

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations Management
• Manage 20–30+ personnel across multiple shifts, including scheduling, timecards, and coverage
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Run daily stand-ups and operational reviews

Fleet & Maintenance Operations
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, damage management, and fleet readiness
• Coordinate in-fleeting and de-fleeting of vehicles
• Manage parts, repairs, inspections, and vendor-supported work

KPI & Performance Management
• Track metrics including fleet uptime, response times, productivity, and out-of-service time
• Monitor operational performance and implement improvements
• Maintain reporting dashboards and performance tracking

Financial & Vendor Management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking (cost per repair, spend per vehicle)
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level compliance
• Support warranty recovery and cost control initiatives

Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and internal procedures
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with engineering, product, depot operations, and IT teams
• Align maintenance, testing, and operational priorities
• Support operational planning and resource allocation

Hands-On Support
• Support driving operations as needed for coverage or validation
• Assist with vehicle inspections, readiness checks, and data reporting

 

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, service management, logistics, or related fields
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Experience managing teams in operational or maintenance environments
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, vehicle systems, and operations
• Experience with KPI tracking, scheduling, and dispatch tools
• Strong financial, budgeting, and forecasting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving history
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with electric vehicles and EV safety standards
• Experience in autonomous vehicle operations or testing
• Experience supporting site launches or scaling operations
• Familiarity with depot operations, parts management, and vendor coordination
