Job Overview

A leading autonomous mobility company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and evolve the Fleet Orchestrator system. You will manage software versions, configurations, and lifecycles for thousands of autonomous vehicles in urban environments. This hands-on role ensures fleet stability, safety, and reliability through cloud-based services and vehicle agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-based services that compute and serve vehicle software specifications based on fleet requirements, state, and hardware.

• Architect and develop the agent running on every vehicle to manage state and software lifecycle.

• Deepen agent integration with the underlying OS for robust, isolated application environments.

• Collaborate with teams to define deployment strategies improving reliability and developer workflows.

• Debug and resolve complex system-level issues across the fleet for high uptime.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for building robust, testable, and maintainable applications.

• Solid experience with Linux systems programming and administration, particularly systemd.

• Experience building and running production systems, with proficiency in AWS or Kubernetes.

• Systems-thinking mindset to reason about distributed systems and failure modes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of software deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.

• Proficiency in Go for scalable backend services.

• Experience with Nix or NixOS.

• Familiarity with gRPC for inter-service communication.

• Background in robotics, IoT, or embedded/remote hardware software management.
