Robot Operator
Job Overview
We are hiring Robot Operators to support the operation and development of advanced robotic systems. In this hands-on role, you will use teleoperation equipment to control robots, perform repeated manipulation tasks, collect high-quality training data, monitor robot behavior, and provide feedback that helps improve system capabilities.
No prior robotics experience is required. Full training will be provided. This role is ideal for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable with repetitive hands-on work, and able to communicate technical observations clearly.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate physical robots for extended periods using teleoperation equipment
• Collect training data by repeatedly demonstrating manipulation tasks according to defined protocols
• Monitor and evaluate autonomous robot behavior
• Document observations, issues, edge cases, and hardware anomalies
• Provide feedback to engineering teams to support system development and issue resolution
• Perform basic troubleshooting on robotic systems
• Follow detailed operating procedures and maintain consistency across repeated tasks
Requirements
• Ability to safely operate robotic systems for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and consistency when performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and document technical issues accurately
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to stand and raise arms for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with video games, joysticks, remote-operated equipment, drones, robotics, forklifts, excavators, or similar systems
• Experience with precision or tool-mediated work such as musical instruments, sewing, model building, soldering, welding, electronics assembly, or related crafts and trades
• Competitive experience in sports, esports, music, or other disciplines requiring sustained practice and performance under pressure
• Background in STEM, aviation, operations, manufacturing, military, trades, or other hands-on technical environments
