Job Overview

In this role, you will support the launch and expansion of autonomous ride-hailing operations by ensuring safe, reliable vehicle operation in real-world environments. You will play a critical role in maintaining vehicle readiness, supporting testing missions, and representing autonomous technology to the public.

This position is ideal for individuals with professional driving experience through platforms such as Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, or similar services are strongly encouraged to apply

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily autonomous vehicle operations across testing and service missions
• Drive 4–8 hours per shift with a strong focus on safety and situational awareness
• Conduct basic software operation tasks during vehicle missions
• Support missions through a variety of in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle roles
• Assist with documentation, metrics, and operational reporting
• Provide accurate written and verbal feedback to engineering teams
• Support vehicle maintenance and logistics activities
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks, basic services, and minor repairs
• Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and workspaces are clean, ready, and compliant
• Complete paperwork related to vehicle readiness and operations

 

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a strong driving history
• Ability and willingness to drive for long durations (up to 6 hours per day)
• Clean driving record with no accidents, tickets, or DUIs within the past 5 years
• Basic vehicle knowledge to perform safety and readiness checks
• Comfort using basic technology and troubleshooting tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to remain alert, focused, and distraction-free while driving

 

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent technical experience
• Military experience
• Experience working in technical, operational, or mission-driven environments

• Onsite role based in San Francisco, CA
• Background check, MVR, and onboarding required
• Interview process includes a virtual interview followed by an onsite drive test
