Vehicle Testing Specialist
Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily testing activities in support of autonomous vehicle and ADAS development programs. Your work will directly support software development teams by validating system performance, identifying issues, and providing detailed, actionable feedback from real-world testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute test plans on autonomous vehicle (AV) and ADAS development vehicles
• Support a wide range of vehicle testing functions across software and hardware systems
• Coordinate with software engineers and operations teams to improve testing procedures
• Provide detailed notes, documentation, and formal reports on testing activities and results
• Work closely with vehicle operators to conduct testing safely and efficiently
• Act as a safety advocate and champion for vehicle testing programs
• Identify issues, anomalies, and edge cases during testing and escalate findings appropriately
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in hardware testing, software testing, data entry, or a similar technical role
• Experience troubleshooting issues on computers or other technical hardware
• Strong attention to detail with disciplined documentation habits
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams
• Strong interest in autonomous systems and understanding how autonomy software functions
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Sunnyvale, CA
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with software development practices
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments
• Experience using tools such as Slack, Jira, and Confluence
• Proficiency with Google Workspace
• Prior experience working with ADAS, autonomous vehicles, or automotive testing programs
