Rideshare Drivers for AV Operations

Job Overview

We are hiring experienced rideshare and delivery drivers who are interested in transitioning into Autonomous Vehicle Operations. If you currently drive for platforms such as Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, or similar services, this role offers an opportunity to apply your professional driving experience in a structured environment with consistent pay and schedule.

In this role, you will operate autonomous vehicles during real-world testing and assist engineering teams by monitoring vehicle performance, documenting driving events, and ensuring safety at all times. Your real-world driving experience helps improve the performance and safety of autonomous vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous test vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws
• Monitor vehicle behavior and remain ready to take control if necessary
• Apply professional driving experience to identify road hazards and unpredictable traffic situations
• Conduct daily vehicle readiness checks prior to testing operations
• Document driving events, system behavior, and environmental conditions during test runs
• Submit detailed written reports after each shift to support engineering and operations teams
• Remain alert and distraction-free while operating vehicles during testing
• Work with engineers, operators, and operations teams to support testing programs

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional driving experience (rideshare, delivery, chauffeur, or similar)
• Experience driving for platforms such as Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, or similar services strongly preferred
• Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 3 years
• Clean driving record with no DUIs or alcohol-related offenses within the past 5 years
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and defensive driving practices
• Ability to remain focused and alert during long driving sessions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using tablets, apps, or digital logging tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating autonomous vehicles or ADAS-enabled vehicles
• Defensive driving or safety driving certifications
• Experience documenting driving activity or operational reports
