Senior Service Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Senior Service Technician to support the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of advanced robotic systems and electric bicycles. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, component-level repairs, fleet reliability, and mentoring technicians while helping maximize fleet uptime in a fast-paced robotics operations environment.
This position is ideal for experienced service technicians with strong diagnostic skills who enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical problems. Candidates with backgrounds in robotics, fleet maintenance, electric vehicles, autonomous systems, aviation, or advanced service operations are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose complex and intermittent faults across robotic systems, modular components, and support vehicles
• Perform advanced repairs on electrical systems, control units, battery packs, and hardware components
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues using advanced diagnostic techniques
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
• Document diagnostic processes, repair activities, root cause findings, and corrective actions
• Contribute technical findings to service documentation and internal knowledge bases
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Service Technicians
• Independently prioritize and manage assigned workload
• Calibrate, configure, and maintain specialized diagnostic equipment and test tools
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize fleet uptime
• Support fleet readiness and operational reliability
Requirements
• 2+ years of service technician, maintenance, or repair experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in advanced repair work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience documenting repairs and diagnostic findings
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass an MVR review
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting robotics, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, fleet operations, or aircraft
• Experience with advanced electrical diagnostics and component-level repair
• Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, or similar service management platforms
• Experience mentoring or training technicians
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and repair procedures
Schedule
• Initial training follows a temporary weekday schedule
• Permanent AM or PM shift assigned after training based on business needs
• Weekend availability required
• Shift changes are communicated at least two weeks in advance
