Robot Service Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, and repair of autonomous delivery robots. This hands-on role focuses on mechanical and electrical assembly, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and field support to keep robotic systems operating at peak performance. This position is ideal for candidates with automotive, manufacturing, or electromechanical technician experience who enjoy troubleshooting and working with advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and robot assemblies
• Install, replace, and calibrate LiDAR, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and other hardware
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and service campaigns on robot fleets
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including batteries and suspension components
• Support rapid prototyping, testing, inventory management, and engineering projects
• Travel locally to provide onsite service and technical support when needed
• Assist engineering teams with research, development, and product validation
Requirements
• Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly and repair
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings
• Experience working with AC/DC electrical systems
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in shop and field environments
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, dealership service, robotics, or similar technical environments
• Soldering experience
• Advanced computer skills
