Hardware Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Hardware Integration Technician to assemble, install, and maintain the sensor systems, computing modules, and support hardware used in autonomous vehicle platforms. This role combines IT hardware assembly, electronics repair, and automotive integration in a hands-on environment.
This position is suited for candidates who are comfortable building and troubleshooting computer systems, working with sensors and cabling, and installing hardware in vehicle platforms. Strong candidates have experience assembling desktops or laptops, repairing consumer electronics, and working with connectors, wiring, and basic system configuration tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and install computer systems, sensors, and peripheral modules in vehicles
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues including cabling faults, misconfigured BIOS/UEFI, and sensor alignment issues
• Replace and upgrade CPUs, GPUs, RAM, SSDs, and sensor modules
• Route and secure internal cabling (USB, Ethernet, CAN, power, and video)
• Assist with BIOS/UEFI configuration, driver installation, and basic system bring-up
• Test system functionality and verify connections using ESD-safe practices
• Document build quality and hardware changes accurately
• Work cross-functionally with mechanics, engineers, and software teams to support integration
Requirements
• Experience assembling, upgrading, or troubleshooting computer hardware (desktops, laptops, or similar systems)
• Experience repairing or replacing electronic components such as screens, batteries, or logic boards
• Familiarity with connectors, ports, and peripherals (USB, Ethernet, CAN, power, video)
• Hands-on experience mounting and wiring components with precision
• Basic understanding of system troubleshooting and component-level debugging
• Knowledge of electrical safety and ESD-safe handling practices
• Strong attention to detail and build quality standards
• Ability to communicate clearly and work within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience soldering or repairing mobile electronics (phones, tablets, drones)
• Familiarity with Linux installation or configuration
• Automotive or electric vehicle experience
• Experience working with sensors or robotics hardware
Schedule
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
