Job Overview
We are hiring a Vehicle Operator (CDL A) to support testing and operation of autonomous vehicle systems across semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles. This role focuses on vehicle operation, system testing, inspections, and reporting feedback to engineering teams.

This position is suited for experienced CDL A drivers with strong safety awareness, clean driving records, and interest in autonomous vehicle technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles during testing activities
• Test driver assistance and autonomous driving features on public roads and closed courses
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIRs
• Provide written and verbal feedback on vehicle and system performance
• Support vehicle readiness and testing operations
• Follow DOT regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
• Assist with additional operational tasks as needed

Requirements

• Valid CDL A driver’s license and current medical card
• 5+ years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
• Comfortable driving and backing 53’ dry vans
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening, physical, MVR review, and road test
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations within the last 5 years
• No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving drugs/alcohol within the last 10 years
• No preventable accidents within the last 3 years
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Interest in driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technology

Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Semi-truck driving will typically be 10–20 hours every other week, with the remaining time supporting operations in standard fleet vehicles.
