Service Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring a Service Technician to support maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair operations for an advanced robotic delivery fleet in Mesa, AZ. This role focuses on diagnosing complex system issues, performing advanced repairs, mentoring technicians, and helping maintain fleet readiness in a fast-paced operational environment.
This position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong diagnostic skills who enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical problems. Candidates with backgrounds in robotics, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, fleet maintenance, aviation, or advanced service operations are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose complex, intermittent, and unusual faults across robotic systems, modular components, and support vehicles
• Perform advanced repairs on electrical systems, control units, and associated hardware with minimal supervision
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues using advanced diagnostic techniques
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
• Document diagnostic processes, repair activities, root cause findings, and corrective actions
• Contribute technical findings and repair knowledge to internal documentation and knowledge bases
• Independently prioritize and manage assigned workload
• Calibrate, configure, and maintain specialized diagnostic equipment and test tools
• Support fleet readiness, reliability, and operational uptime
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Requirements
• 1+ years of service technician, maintenance, or repair experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in repair and technical systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass MVR requirements
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, robotics, aviation, or fleet operations
• Experience with advanced electrical diagnostics and repair
• Familiarity with service management platforms such as JIRA, MaintainX, or similar tools
• Experience mentoring or training technicians
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and repair procedures
Schedule
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM shifts
• Must be available to work at least one weekend day
