Robot Service Technician
Job Overview
This role supports the production, maintenance, and repair of self-driving delivery robots in an in-person technical environment. The Robot Service Technician is responsible for hands-on mechanical and electrical work, fleet upkeep, and on-site support to keep robots operational.
This position is suited for technicians with experience in automotive, manufacturing, or similar technical settings who can perform assembly, troubleshooting, and field support tasks. The work involves coordination with engineering and operations teams to support both active fleets and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble harnesses, cables, and connectors for self-driving delivery robots
• Install, remove, and replace sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the robot fleet
• Diagnose breakdowns, investigate incidents, and complete service campaigns
• Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including suspensions and batteries
• Travel between local locations to provide onsite technical support
• Support rapid prototyping, testing, and inventory management activities
• Assist with research and development experiments and new project builds
Requirements
• Technician experience in automotive, manufacturing, or similar technical environments
• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment
• Experience assembling and disassembling products and installing electronic modules
• Experience working with AC and DC electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings
• Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record for the past 12 months
• Comfort working in field-based environments

• Soldering experience
• Background in automotive plants or dealership service departments
• Advanced computer literacy
• Experience supporting engineering or R&D teams
