TeleOps Operator
Job Overview
In this role, you will support the safe and reliable operation of an autonomous vehicle fleet by providing real-time remote monitoring and intervention when needed. Acting as the “human-in-the-loop,” you will bridge the gap between autonomous systems and complex real-world scenarios that require human judgment.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong technical aptitude, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced, safety-critical environments. You will play a key role in improving TeleOperations tools, processes, and overall fleet performance as autonomous operations scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor a fleet of autonomous vehicles in real time using TeleOperations systems
• Provide remote guidance or intervention in complex driving scenarios while following strict safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements during all operations
• Assist with testing, data collection, and performance metric reporting
• Document observations and operational outcomes to support system improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Software, QA, and UX teams to improve TeleOps tools and interfaces
• Provide structured feedback on system usability and operational workflows
• Support flexible shift coverage as operational needs evolve
Requirements
• 2–3 years of experience in operations or a fast-paced, technical environment
• Strong computer proficiency, including comfort working across multiple systems simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Positive attitude with a growth mindset and strong teamwork orientation
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams
• Clean background and strong professional conduct
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in the autonomous vehicle industry
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Analytics, or a related field
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Basic experience with software or QA testing
• Basic data analysis skills for metrics tracking and review
• Prior experience playing video games or using complex control interfaces
