Service Technician
Job Overview
In this role, you will support and maintain a growing fleet of autonomous electric vehicles in Austin, TX, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and road-ready. Your work will directly impact fleet performance, operational readiness, and safety across daily operations.
This position is ideal for experienced automotive technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working hands-on with advanced EV and autonomous vehicle technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and document vehicle damage following road incidents
• Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections, including brakes, fluids, AC, and tires
• Monitor vehicle condition and proactively identify potential issues before they escalate
• Support field operations, including vehicle evacuations and towing coordination
• Transport vehicles to and from service appointments, repairs, and car washes
• Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards
Requirements
• Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and EV fundamentals
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage fast-changing priorities
• High attention to detail with a strong safety-first mindset
• Comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology
• Prior experience as an EV Technician strongly preferred
• Experience supporting ADAS-equipped vehicles preferred
