Manufacturing Technician
Job Overview
In this role, you will support the assembly and testing of autonomous vehicles on a production-style assembly line in Fremont, CA. Your work will focus on hands-on vehicle builds, sub-assemblies, and defined test plans that support the company’s transition from R&D into scaled production.
This position is ideal for technicians with prior assembly line or manufacturing experience who are comfortable performing repetitive, process-driven tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, and consistency. Key Responsibilities
• Support vehicle assembly line builds alongside leads and fellow technicians
• Perform repetitive sub-assembly tasks to support production flow
• Execute defined test plans involving both hardware and software
• Assist with bring-up activities, including running scripts and supporting software testing
• Conduct light diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicle systems
• Complete daily production tasks to meet delivery timelines
• Provide feedback to engineering and development teams to support continuous improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally during downtime to support other teams
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and safety
Requirements
• Prior experience working on an automotive or manufacturing assembly line
• Comfort performing repetitive, process-driven tasks throughout the shift
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in execution
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to stay productive during downtime
Preferred Qualifications
• Automotive or OEM manufacturing experience
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology
• Understanding of basic electrical theory
• Ability to read electrical schematics and harness drawings
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN systems
• Experience supporting both mechanical and light electrical work
